Municipal Services Regionalization conference is Sept. 1
The Division of Local Services is holding its annual Regionalization Conference at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester on Sept 1.
State representatives will give an overview of the process through which $4 million in grants to promote regionalization will be distributed.
Lt. Gov. Tim Murray is the conference’s keynote speaker. Other speakers include Department of Revenue Commissioner Navjeet Bal; Robert Nunes, the state’s director of municipal affairs; Administration and Finance Policy Director Pam Kocher; and Tim Brennan, executive director of the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission.
There also will be morning workshops and afternoon roundtable discussions. A number of municipal officials will be speaking.
The registration fee is $25, and the registration deadline is Aug. 26.
